Many of our partners are legacy operators who have multi-generational roots growing cannabis and helped build California’s reputation as a cannabis capital. With the entrance of large-scale corporate cultivation operations, many small farmers are losing their place in an industry they helped create. By choosing to buy from craft farms, you can help support independent farmers and keep them doing their life’s work!

We select our farm partners based on those who have sustainable and regenerative farming practices, meaning they farm in a way that builds up the environment rather than taking away. Sun-grown cannabis is much less resource intensive compared to indoor cultivation using grow lights.

Another benefit is that sun-grown cannabis flower tends to have a more robust expression of it’s terpene profile (terpenes give each strain its distinct smell and effects). Full spectrum light = full spectrum terpenes!

Legacy farmers have been breeding their own genetics and have created strains that are entirely unique to their farm. In a marketplace that is increasingly homogenizing with the same strains, we’re excited to be able to bring some of Northern California’s more exotic strains from farm to mind!
